What you have to Offer the Club
-
Since the PECC is member owned and operated, the members themselves
must manage and maintain the facility as well as organize its
sporting and social events. Hence, all members are required to
complete a minimum of 6 hours volunteer work duty over the course of
the year. There are many ways of fulfilling this requirement for
there is always work to do. The various jobs are described on the
orientation
page. The more effort you can afford, the better it is for the club,
so please get involved. This is your club and your facility. Your
assistance and support is necessary to ensure its sustained
operation and all members must contribute equally and do their fair
share.
-
When you are scheduled to curl, you need to be on time. If you
cannot attend, it is your obligation to contact your skip and obtain
a spare so that the game can proceed. Your fellow team mates and
opponents will appreciate the consideration. A spare list (with
their phone numbers) will be printed on your curling schedule.
-
As a member of the club, you are obligated to purchase a one time
$150 debenture payment to retain your capital portion of the
facility. This amount may be paid in 5 yearly instalments of $30
per year from the second year to the sixth year. This will be
returned upon request 2 years following the resignation of your
membership, and only once the complete $150 has been paid.
Incomplete payments are non-refundable. You have the option to
complete the full payment in a shorter time period if you so
desire.
